Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Enterprise Board invites you to participate in the 'Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs' (EYE) initiative. This innovative business support programme enables a new entrepreneur to exchange skills, knowledge and contacts with the owner of a more established host enterprise in another European Union member state. 'Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs' is financed by the European Commission and has been operating successfully since 2009.
* Eligible Countries: 27 European Member States, Liechtenstein, Norway, Croatia, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Iceland, Montenegro, Turkey, Albania, Serbia and Israel.
Opportunties for New Entrepreneurs - How it Works
Are you an early-stage entrepreneur? Would you like to spend between 1 and 6 months learning new skills and making fresh contacts while working in another EU country as a participant on a grant-funded placement programme?
If you are aged between 18 and 65 years of age, living in Ireland, and are planning to set up your own business or have already started a business within the last 3 years, you may be eligble to participate as a 'New Entrepreneur'. Grant Payments of up to €1,100 per month are available to support your placement. So whether it's Paris or London, Milan or Barcelona, let us know your preferred destination and sector and work to find a host business for you! Table of Grant Aid Available (By Country)
Opportunties for Host Entrepreneurs - How it Works
Are you an established small business? Would you like your enterprise to benefit from hosting and working with a talented entrepreneur from another EU country for a period of between 1 and 6 months?
Entrepreneurs who have owned or managed a mircoenterprise or SME for at least 3 years may be eligble to particiapte as a 'Host Entrepreneur'. There is no cost to you, as Host Entrepreneur, of participating in the programme as the New Entrepreneur will be paid their monthly grant allowance, for the duration of their stay, by our organisation.
To date, our Board has successfully placed 20 Irish entrepreneurs in the EYE programme.
In 2013, we received further funding to support even more New Entrepreneurs...
