Established in 2001, p3 is a technology company specialising in web solutions for the hotel sector and global
shipping industry. p3 offers a range of innovative services encompassing booking engines, recruitment technology,
eCommerce solutions, data analysis and web design.


Most Promising Start-Up Award - Damien Phelan, Skon (www.skondesign.com)

Skön designs, manufactures and fits tailor-made sliding wardrobes using high quality products from Sweden.
It commenced trading in early 2007 and operates from modern showrooms in Earlscourt Industrial Estate, Churchtown.


Marketing Award - Ted Laverty & Declan Feely, OnlineTradesmen (www.onlinetradesmen.com)

Launched in October 2005, Onlinetradesmen.com is Ireland's largest accredited trade network, enabling property owners
to source qualified trade professionals for home improvement and construction projects. It also provides business
support services to qualified trade professionals.


Female Entrepreneur Award - Aine McDonnell, Studio A (www.mybabyrobe.ie)

Studio A is a new bespoke ladies fashion boutique run from the owner’s Georgian home in Sandycove. Visitors to the studio can choose from a range of evening wear, alternative bridal gowns and silk christening robes designed by Aine.

 

Export Award - Rory Geoghegan, Red Box Direct (www.redboxdirect.com)

Red Box Direct supplies instrumentation and software for neuroscience and physiology, imaging and microscopy, and analytical chemistry. Based in Rathfarnham and trading for a year, the business works with research scientists in universities and pharmaceutical companies across Europe.

Gavan Doherty, 247meeting ( www.247meeting.com )


247meeting is a new start-up offering an innovative, easy-to-use audio conferencing service to SMEs and the corporate market. The business plans to launch Web conferencing services in autumn 2007.


Mary Horton, Courses.ie (www.courses.ie)


Courses.ie is a comprehensive online directory of courses and activities. Established in 2006, the webs site offers Irish course providers with a means to promote Corporate, 3rd Level, PLC, Adult Education, Day & Evening Courses, Children & Adult Activities and Summer Camps.

 

All of the finalists received Board support in the form of funding, training, networking and one-to-one mentoring.
