Business Related Initiative for Technology-based Enterprises (BRITE)

    The BRITE programme is designed for businesses in the ICT sector who provide information
    technology products and/or services. It will provide training and mentoring specifically tailored
    to micro enterprises to help them grow their businesses.  


    Programme One will commence in November 2008 with Programme Two commencing in January 2009.
    There will be 10 evening sessions per programme with ten businesses on each.  
    BRITE has been developed by the four Dublin Enterprise Boards and is part-funded by FAS.

Who should attend?    

Business Owner/Managers, and senior staff are ideal candidates.  Owner Managers attend the training sessions and are provided with mentoring tools to up skill key staff to allow them also develop and progress. Staff are also invited to attend Networking Workshop events of which there are three during the course of the programme. 

How can by business benefit from attending? 

BRITE will help participant businesses (both owners and staff) to develop their skills via a range of tailored initiatives: 


The training sessions will all be delivered by the same highly-skilled training contractor for consistency
and flexibility to meet the needs of the group. 

*  Experienced mentors will be allocated to support you through the critical stages of your business growth. 
You will receive 5 days of one to one mentoring. 


*  You will be part of a professional business network with other ICT companies for your mutual benefit, personal growth and to provide opportunities for shared learning. Networking events and workshops will form part of the programme.


*  The option to gain accreditation is available to you and your staff to add structure and focus to training efforts (ILM &FETAC)


Participation Fee   

The fee for participating in the BRITE progamme is only €565 per company.
Places limited to a maximum of 10 businesses per programme.

A participant’s business must be local to one of the four Dublin Enterprise Boards and have no more than 50 staff.
