Who is responsible for Information Security in your Business?
Your staff, your customers and the regulators would like to know!

INSEMOT.eu (Information Security Modular Training for SMEs) is an EU training initiative designed to help the owners and staff of SMEs to understand how to keep information in their business secure and to comply with important data protection legislation. The questions addressed include:-

- What are the most important risks for small and medium sized enterprises?
- What are the legal responsibilities of a business as a repository of personal data?
- How long does my business need to keep data for?
- How can I protect information on my desktop or laptop computer?
- How can my business use the internet safely?

The INSEMOT project comprises classroom, e-learning and self-study units. A content-rich web portal, www.insemot.eu has been launched. A Pilot Training Programme encompasing a course curriculum and a series of elearning activities - will be organised in Spring 2013.

Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Enterprise Board is one of six project partners. Business associations from Austria, Italy, Spain, Germany and Czech Republic are also participating.
