Chendgu - China Trade Mission - October 2010

DLRCEB is delighted to once again be working with our Chinese partners, EUPIC (EU Project Innovation Centre). In October 2010, we are planning a trade visit of Irish companies to Chengdu (Sichuan province) to participate in the 5th EU-China Business & Technology Co-operation Fair, a business match-making event. This is the fourth time DLRCEB has arranged such a visit, and past participants have found the visits very worthwhile.

As the Irish partner in the EU Asia Invest programme, and working closely with EUPIC, DLRCEB has successfully arranged Trade Missions to this fair over the past number of years. Over 30 Irish companies have visited and met successfully with their Chinese counterparts in pre-arranged match-making meetings. In 2009, over 460 Chinese companies and 200 European companies participated. In 2010, the event will take place along side the EU-China Bio-pharmaceutical industry and Economic Development Forum.

This trade mission will take place from October 15th-21st 2010.

This year, the target sectors are:-

  • New Energy (Solar Energy, Wind Power, Biomass and agri-feul power, green buildings, clean transport and mobility, environment technology, smart grid).
  • Information Technology
  • Biopharmaceuticals
  • Emerging Industries (Cloud Computing and Internet Technologies)

Participants from the EU and 12x Chinese provinces will include:-

  • Experts and Entrepreneurs
  • Representatives of Industry Clusters
  • Polict and Regulation Makers in New Energy Sectors
