The Organic Supermarket is Ireland's first 100% dedicated retailer of organic food and wine. Opened in Blackrock's main street in July 2008, teh store carries over 3,000 lines of product and offers next day deliveries through its website. It currently employs 6 people.
Female Entrepreneur Award - Alison Nash, Ali Nash Jewellery (www.alinash.com)
Ali
Nash jewellery is a handcrafted jewellery label created by its owner in
2004. Alison designs her distinctive collections of necklaces,
bracelets and earrings in her Dun Laoghaire studio and sells through
selected gallaries and boutiques.
Technlogy Award - Peter O'Neill, Invotech (www.invotech.ie)
Invotech
develops software management solutions for the leisure and spa sector
in Ireland and the UK. Set up in 1999, the Sandyford-based business
employs 6 people and has a client base of over 200 companies.
Marketing Award - Lesley O'Mahony, Babypotz (www.babypotz.com)
Babypotz sells innovative storage solutions for homemade baby
food. Babypotz containers are made from high quality re-usable plastic
and are freezer, microwave, dishwasher and sterilizer safe. The
business began in 2003 and operates from Cabinteely
Distinction Award - Audrey McKenna, Kingston Academy of Music (www.kingstonacademyofmusic.ie)
The Kingston Academy of Music in Dun Laoghaire was established in autumn 2008 and offers music tuition to students of all abilities. The centre aims to become a centre of excellence and will cater for the needs of hobbyists as well as those pursuing exams.
